When working with clients our passion for design and creative work means we create some truly unique and beautiful client work. We always aim to exceed the expectations of our clients.
Exciting times ahead for TakeOne27, our spin out project Take:Comics has been awarded Proof of Concept funding. We have been working hard to secure this and have begun the production of the first stage. We are now looking for additional staff and will hopefully have news of new faces soon. This site and the Take:Comics / TakePublishing sites will have further updates soon.
In other news we have approached a number of companies in the region to join us in a secret collaboration project. The companies so far confirmed, are some of the most exicting digital media companies in the North-East of England, companies who like us, have great passion and motivation.
A small update to keep the news page on the site alive. We have completed an interactive flash based presentation for One North East, which shows the centers of innovation within the region. The presentation incorporates video, images and animation to provided an interesting experience without getting in the way the core message.
While it was flattering to be asked to produce this work due of the importance of the final product, the time scale of production was very short so a lot of long hours and hard work was required. We are proud of the final result and our ability to hit the deadline. To be considered to produce this presentation is a reflection on the quality of our previous work and the trust we have earned to deliver on short notice to high quality.
Deep in funding application and client work at the moment, so nothing exciting to report. However the Take:Goal facebook application is finished ... but we are delaying the release.
The reason for the delay is due to the potential we now see in Take:Goal within other applications we are creating. The plan is to include aspects of Take:Goals in the project we are seeking fund for. It is not all bad news, it still likely that we will release Take:Goal in the near future, and it will be both as a facebook and an iPhone / iPod Touch application.

It has been a long time since we have updated the news and the site, so what have we been up to? Well the site is still under construction and is some time off being complete. This is mainly due to our focus being on important business planning, some new client work and the Take:Goals facebook application.
Take:Goals has all of it screens created and displays real data dynamically. The screen shots above are cut from flash & showing real processed data. The database has been created and next step is to build the web services to kick "live" data to the program. After that we have to create the user controls, which allow editing and goal creation then link up with the facebook api. Should all be finished next week
The TakeOne27 site you are currently on has sadly dropped down our priority list but will be completed as soon as we can. Important company business has taken a lot of our time but in the next month or so hopefully we will some very exciting news for you all.

We slipped out talking about our newest project Take:Goals in our tumblr blog report on the new iPhone, so we might as well spill the beans. We are planning on launching an application that will plugging into facebook, myspace and eventually become an iPhone application, which allow you to set goals and targets for yourself or with friends. The application is built upon the concept of SMART(ER) goal setting and more details will be following in the next week or so.

A major part of Take:Comics is the exciting pod & video casting component. The software changes how the user engages with audio and video content to create a fully interactive experience. The big news is we are currently planning to release this as a stand-a-lone product, free to use and deliver content on.
Yet to have a confirmed name we have dubbed this "Take:Casting" and while we are holding back on a lot of the details, we can reveal that one aspect of the software creates DVD style chaptering for the podcast and video content. This allows you to comment on specific topics within shows and much, much more.
Beyond social aspects, with some of the additional features we will show off at a later date, we have made it possible to get more in-depth with the topics of each chapter being discussed, by creating new ways you can gain additional related information.
For the content creators we are creating an Adobe Air / Flex application, that will run from your desktop or web browser. This will give you a fast, easy to use tool kit to ready your media for our new system. We have creates a system to allow you run time specific advertising outside of the show along and more to be announced .
We will give you the power to create rich interactive content and new ways to create revenue with no cost and no effort.

The project we worked on with Thap, "iwant2b" won the Best Use Of Advanced Practices In Web Development at the North East Digital Awards last night. We are extremely proud to have been part of this amazing project and I am sure the awards will keep rolling in.
TakeOne27 created the interactive flash based user interface for the project, which linked with the complex back-end development Thap had completed. The amount of data processing behind the scenes are mind-boggling and the team at the Thap did a great job making the data access tools along with the creation of the non-flash aspects of the website. We did our best to do their hard work justice and created a user-interface that was both beautiful and made the data easy to understand.
It was the most complex and exciting project we had worked on to date, due to the dynamic nature of every aspect of the content and the challenges involved in displaying vast amount of information, all made even harder by the limitations of developing to be backwards compatible to Flash Player 7. We learnt a lot about developing large scale projects and built a strong relationship with Thap which has continued to this day. From the relationship we have some awesome work completing soon which we will keep you posted on but for now we would like to end by thanking Thap for the opportunity.
The sub-sections of this site are now up in blog form. The reasoning behind going blogs for the subsections was due to the speed of updating the content and keeping you lot informed of the comings and going of the site. The blog format also you to have your say on the work we are doing and the progress of the company. Plus we can update the blogs from anywhere in the world so we have no excuses for old content.
The about us and contact us section is to be built based on the old site and will be up by the end of the month and at the moment the blogs are using some awesome free themes which we will be swapping out for our own custom theme. The thumblr blog is up which is cool, can't wait to post some interesting stuff.
Welcome to the home page of the new Takeone27.com, we have only got the front page up at moment while we play around with the features and design. We have a lot of new content coming soon but what's to come? We here is a break down of some of the sections we have planned:
Blogging - Not only do we have our news blog in the works, to archive the news in this section we are jumping on the tumblr bandwagon with our own mirco-blog full of links, photos and other media we stumble across that we think as interesting and share worthy. Also we are publishing a lot of our cool new experiments in a labs blog. We are always working with the newest development technologies and playing with new technique so the blog will allow us to release and showcase what we are doing behind the scenes.
Portfolios - We are show-off's, we love to tell people all about the latest work we have been up and using our design section we will be showcasing everything we do.
About Us - Our previous site did a great job of introducing you to the company, our beliefs and goals, with the new site we will continue this tradition and expand further on the in's and out's of the company.
Our client feed-back system use private video, audio or text based internet blogs to keep our client informed and up to date. Find out more about our expert solution below and view examples of our previous work by clicking the image.
